Welcome
I’m Erica Gozukara, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Highly Sensitive Person who feels most at home in life’s quieter moments. When I’m not with clients, you’ll find me walking along the beach, singing, wandering through thrift stores, or crocheting — small, grounding rituals that help me stay connected to what matters.

Alongside private practice, I also volunteer in palliative care, an experience that continually deepens my respect for tenderness and has shaped how I listen, sit with uncertainty, and honour each person’s pace.
For much of my life, I felt out of sync with the world. I noticed things others seemed to miss, felt emotions more deeply than I could explain, and could be moved to tears when life felt overwhelming.

This sensitivity is what led me to become a counsellor and support other HSPs. I know how lonely it can feel when your inner world feels too big and deep for others to understand.

Together, we can explore your nervous system, find steady ground, and take compassionate steps toward feeling more at home in yourself.

At the heart of my work is a gentle respect for each person and their story. You know what it feels like to live in your body, to carry your experiences, and to hold both tender and difficult parts of your life.

Our work together is an invitation to slowly explore why you are the way you are — not to judge or fix anything, but simply to understand. The ways you’ve learned to cope and protect yourself developed for a reason, even if they don’t feel as helpful now.

Everyone arrives with a different pace and different needs. I meet you where you are and walk alongside you, offering a steady, supportive presence as we make sense of things together. You don’t need to have the right words or know where to begin. Your needs and your way forward remain at the centre of our work, always. You’re welcome to come just as you are.

Internal Family Systems is at the heart of my work. It’s a gentle approach that sees each of us as made up of many different parts — like the inner critic, the caregiver, or the parts that carry pain. Sometimes these parts are in conflict, leaving us feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

Through IFS, we create space to meet each part with compassion and curiosity. Instead of trying to silence or fix them, we listen — and in doing so, begin to heal. Over time, this work can bring a deep sense of inner balance, clarity, and peace.
